Phony Rolex; Restaurant Break-in; Jewelry Stolen; Mount Kisco Blotter

County police report a variety of incidents in the past week.

Here are some of the recent incidents responded to by the Westchester County Police.

Friday, Sept. 9 – 11:55 p.m. – Westchester County Police and the Mount Kisco Fire Department responded to the Guard Hill complex off North Bedford Road on a report of smoke coming from one of the condominiums. A fire that had broken out on a strove was extinguished by firefighters.

Thursday, Sept. 8 – 7:08 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to North Moger Avenue on a report of a man playing loud music and throwing garbage in the street. The man was gone upon an officer’s arrival.

6:29 p.m. -- Westchester County Police served a Family Court-issued order of protection to a resident of West Street, which bars him from having contact with other persons who share his residence. The man was allowed to retrieve some personal possessions and he left the house.

3:17 p.m. – A village resident came to the Westchester County Police precinct on Green Street to report that a Rolex watch she owns was taken from a jewelry box in her home and replaced with a counterfeit version. The woman said she is going through a divorce and suspects her husband made the switch.

Wednesday, Sept. 8 – 9:24 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to the Brookside Village complex on a report of an odor of gas. Con Edison was notified and also responded.

8:39 p.m. – A village resident reported to Westchester County Police that she had lost her cell phone in the parking lot behind the firehouse on Green Street. The woman said she had placed the phone on the roof of her car and drove off. She could not find it when she returned to the lot to search for it.

5:36 p.m. – Westchester County Police assisted a woman on Highland Avenue who was feeling faint. The Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps also responded and transported the woman to Northern Westchester Hospital Center.

Tuesday, Sept. 7 – 12:29 p.m. – A resident of Brentwood Court reported that $2,225 worth of jewelry is missing from her home. She said she last saw the items in July before some contractors hired by her father made renovations to her home. She was advised to compile a list of contractors who performed the work, and the case was turned over to detectives for additional investigation.

Tuesday, Sept. 6 – 10:25 a.m. – The owner of a restaurant on Lexington Avenue reported that the premises were burglarized sometime overnight. A Point of Sale terminal was stolen.

10 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a business on Kisco Avenue on a report that a vehicle had been abandoned there. A Toyota Camry that had been left in the business’s lot was found to have been stolen from Allentown, Pa. The vehicle was impounded by county police.

Monday, Sept. 5 – 9:24 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to an apartment on West Main Street on a report of dispute between two roommates. The dispute was verbal in nature only and ended when one of the men said he was leaving to go to work.
