MOUNT KISCO, NY — Here are some of the recent incidents to which the Westchester County Police responded in the village.
Friday, March 23 – 3:45 p.m. – The manager at Rite Aid on South Moger Avenue reported to Westchester County Police that a customer took two bags of peanuts valued at $20.98 and left the store without paying.
10:54 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Northern Westchester Hospital Center on East Main Street after a psychiatric patient refused to cooperate with medical personnel and began causing a disturbance. Officers were able to subdue the unruly patient and remained with hospital staff until the patient was calm.

Thursday, March 22 – 8:10 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Manchester Drive on an activated burglar alarm. It was determined that a family member left a basement door ajar while setting the alarm.
1:48 p.m. -- Westchester County Police assisted a woman on Sutton Drive who was not feeling well and suffering from high blood pressure. The Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded and transported the woman to the hospital.

Tuesday, March 20 – 4:40 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to the Mount Kisco Public Library on a complaint that a man waiting in the lobby was playing loud music on his phone or having conversations with the speaker phone engaged. The man was advised that he would have to comply with library rules or leave the building.
Monday, March 19 – 9:22 a.m. – A motorist called 911 to report that she had been involved in a near collision with another car on Route 100 in Yorktown and then was followed by that vehicle on to Crow Hill Road and then on to Route 133 in Mount Kisco. The woman said that she was concerned for her safety and had taken a photo of the man driving behind her. An officer located both vehicles on Route 133. The other motorist said that he followed the woman because he thought she might be intoxicated and that he had taken a photo of her car and license plate. Both parties were interviewed and agreed to go their separate ways.
2:07 a.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to a business on North Bedford Road on an activated fire alarm. No fire or smoke condition was present and the Mount Kisco Fire Department, which also responded, reset the alarm.
