Sandra Lee Undergoing More Surgery Amid Complications

Rushed to the hospital Friday with an infection linked to the double mastectomy she had in May, Food Network star Sandra Lee is undergoing more surgery Tuesday.

The team at Sandra Lee, Inc. posted this on Facebook last week:

As she has shared in her many posts over the last several months, she has experienced several complications pre and post surgery. Sandra was hoping to avoid any further operations until her final reconstruction.

She has had an incredibly difficult road of it, and in light of everything going on, she had been able to maintain her positive attitude and can-do Spirit.

As you know, Sandra has stayed attached and attentive to us here at Sandra Lee Inc., and most importantly to you, her family of friends and fans.

Sandra will be allowed to go home over this weekend with heavy antibiotics and monitoring but will need to be back for review and possible surgery at the beginning of next week. The first course of action is to get the infection identified and under control.

Lee said on her Facebook page Monday that she and her boyfriend, New York Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, have decided on the additional surgery:
