UPDATE |Reopened: Roaring Brook Road At Saw Mill Parkway

UPDATE 5:58 p.m. — Roaring Brook Road has reopened at the Saw Mill Parkway, New Castle police said.

UPDATE 5:30 p.m. — Roaring Brook Road east of the Saw Mill Parkway is closed due to a malfunctioning railroad crossing gate, New Castle police said.

MTA repair crews are working to re-open the roadway. The timeframe is unknown, police said.

CHAPPAQUA, NY — State transportation officials said the northbound Saw Mill River Parkway ramp at Exit 33 was closed as of 4:54 p.m. Police activity is the cause, according to the alert.

The closure could last two hours.
