Sleeping Woman Sex Abuse in Mount Kisco: Cops

He left his boots by the bed, police say.

MOUNT KISCO, NY — A Mount Kisco man was charged with burglary and sexual abuse over the weekend after he was accused of entering a woman’s apartment in the village and sexually abusing her while she was sleeping.

The incident occurred about 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Westchester County police said. A resident of High Street reported that she awoke to find that a man was removing her sweatpants and climbing on top of her. She screamed and the man fled when a family member heard the commotion and came to the room.

The assailant apparently removed his boots before getting into bed with the victim, police said. The boots were recovered at the scene and taken into evidence.

Milton Herrera-Umana, 19, of Grove Street was arrested at 6:11 p.m. following an investigation by patrol officers and detectives from the General Investigations Unit. He was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, felonies.
