MOUNT KISCO, NY — Here are some of the recent incidents to which county police responded:
Friday, Oct. 7 – 1:12 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Staples on North Bedford Road after employees reported that a woman in her 30s or 40s tried to steal $600 worth of ink cartridges. The woman fled after she was observed by store staff. The case was turned over to detectives for continued investigation.
11:03 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to South Moger Avenue after receiving a report that a motorist had locked her keys in the car and left the engine running. A parking Authority employee was able to help the women get back into her car.

Thursday, Oct. 6 – 10:06 a.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to the Mount Kisco library after staff observed an unattended backpack. The bag was checked by an officer and found to be non-suspicious.
11:36 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to a building on Carpenter Avenue on a report of an odor of gas. Officers determined that the pilot light on a stove had gone out.

Wednesday, Oct. 5 – 7:51 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Amuso Drive on a report of a loud dispute between two people. The parties were separated and advised to stay away from each other.
5:42 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Radio Circle on a report that a man in his 50s was having chest pains. The Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps also responded and transported the man to Northern Westchester Hospital Center.
1:21 p.m. – A village resident came to the Westchester County Police precinct on Green Street to report that he had been the victim of attempted identity theft. The man explained that his bank had contacted him in connection with an attempt to open a credit card in his name. The case was turned over to detectives for investigation.
Sunday, Oct. 2 – 6:16 p.m. – Kyle Garvin, 27, of Route 202, Somers, was arrested at his home by Westchester County Police and charged with Aggravated Harassment 2 nd Degree and Stalking 3 rd Degree, misdemeanors. He is accused of sending threatening text messages to a woman in Mount Kisco.
