Tea and Philanthropy Fundraiser Kicks Off the 2nd Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival

Tea, pastries and a raffle with more than 50 great prizes on May 22 from 1-3 pm

Join neighbors and friends for a fundraising tea to raise awareness of and kick-off the second annual Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival at a private home near downtown Chappaqua, on Thursday, May 22 from 1-3pm.  Guests can tour the home, enjoy tea and pastries by an Institute of Culinary Education-trained pastry chef and meet several of the authors who will attend the book festival in September.  Additionally, local merchants have contributed more than 50 prizes for a raffle, including Yankees tickets, dinner at Le Jardin du Roi, babysitting services and even a zip line birthday party for up to 20 children.

ABOUT THE CHAPPAQUA CHILDREN'S BOOK FESTIVAL: From princesses to pups, to angst-filled tweens, and every crazy character in between, you’ll find them all at the second annual Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival on September 27, 2014.  More than 75 popular authors, who bring your favorite characters to life, are expected to participate. Most will be signing their books and reading excerpts. It will be a family event with tons of fun, food, kid-friendly activities, entertainment and, of course, books!
