D'Errico Jewelry Treasure Hunt Energizes Mount Kisco Main Street

Thousands of dollars worth of real treasures were found in stores on Mount Kisco's East Main Street on Saturday as part of an event sponsored by D'Errico Jewelry.

"It's so exiting. I've never won anything in my life," says Lindsey, who found a $1,500 diamond heart necklace, at Frannies Goodie Shop. The last names of the finders are being withheld because of the value of the items involved in the hunt.

A total of 10 items that altogether were worth more than $10,000 were hidden in stores up and down Mount Kisco's main artery. Clues were sent out at specific times that hinted at which items could be found in a given store.

Mount Kisco retailers were eager participants in the event, and were glad to see crowds of people hunting through their stores. Rafael Brache, president and founder of the legendary Elephant's Trunk, added a stunning, crystal-studded handbag to the treasure bag that was hidden in his emporium.
The specific item included in the Treasure Hunt were:

Marquis Princess Cut Diamond Stud Earrings: Value: $3,500
2. Diamond Heart Pendant: Value: $1,500
3. Gem Necklace: Value: $1,200
4. Silver Diamond Ring: Value: $1,150
5. Colored Gem Bracelet: Value: $750
6. Evil Eye: Value: $675
7. Gold stainless steel Diamond and Silver Bracelet: Value: $375
8. Stainless Steel, Diamond and Silver Bracelet: Value: $375
9. Silver Squares Bracelet: Value: $250
10. Shambala Bracelet: Value: $65

The participating stores were: Businesses taking part in the treasure hunt are: Bellizzi Restaurant, Be Unique Boutique, Body Beautiful of NY, Café of Love, Elephants Trunk, Frannies Goodie Shop, Heads Up  Main Street, New York Dolls, and Tiger Lily.

Holding the Treasure Hunt was a way to say "Thank You" to the community for its warm reception to a store that opened just over six years ago. "People have been coming to us for everything from custom design and engraving to Pandora jewelry and we really appreciate their loyalty very much," says co-owner and founder Richie D'Errico. "We also want to draw 
attention to a great community, and help promote its wonderful businesses."
