Vape Pen; Forged Check; False Alarm on Stolen Car: Mount Kisco Blotter

MOUNT KISCO, NY — Here are some of the incidents to which Westchester County Police responded in Mount Kisco last week.
Friday, Aug. 4 – 1:48 p.m. – A woman came to the Westchester County Police precinct on Green Streetto inquire about a “vape pen” that she found in her son’s room. The woman was not familiar with the
device and wanted to know what it was.
1:21 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Leonard Park on a report that an elderly woman
was feeling ill and was nauseous. The woman was subsequently transported by ambulance to Northern
Westchester Hospital Center.

11:43 p.m. – A resident of West Street reported to county police that someone stole a king size bed
frame and side rails from a storage unit in her building.
9:14 a.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to a construction site along the Saw Mill River
Parkway in Mount Kisco on a report of an altercation between two workers. One man reported that he
was shoved to the ground by another worker during an argument, but the victim declined to press
charges. A supervisor asked officers to advise the offender that he was no longer permitted on the job
site and the man left voluntarily.

1:26 a.m. – An officer on patrol observed fourth youths congregating alongside the Mount Kisco
Elementary School. The youths were advised to leave school grounds and they complied.
Thursday, Aug. 3 — 4:06 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to a business on a report that a
credit card had been found there. An officer contacted the credit card company and was advised to
destroy the card.
12:52 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to the Mount Kisco Public Library on East Main
Street to remove an unwanted party from the building. Library staff said the man had continually
violated the library’s code of conduct and he was given a formal notice barring him from the premises.
Officers advised the man he could be charged with trespass if he returns.
9:45 a.m. – A village resident reported to county police that a former roommate had taken a check
belonging to her for $649, forged her name and cashed it. The case was turned over to detectives for
continued investigation.
8:52 a.m. – Eric Larson, 46, of Norwalk, Conn., was charged with Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor, after he
was accused by staff at Rite Aid on South Moger Avenue of taking four cans of beer from the store
without paying for them. Larson, who was taken into custody behind the store, was booked at the
Green Street precinct and released on $100 bail pending an Aug. 31 appearance in Mount Kisco Justice
Court.
Wednesday, Aug. 2 – 9:4 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to West Street on a report of a domestic dispute in progress. Officers determined the dispute was verbal in nature only. One party to the dispute, who does not live at the residence, agreed to leave.
1:01 a.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Moore Avenue on a noise complaint about a loud party. The host said the party was just breaking up and some of his guests had been loud outside on the street as they went to the cars.
Tuesday, Aug. 1 – 2:59 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to a parking lot in the 300 block of
North Bedford Road after a caller said she couldn’t find her car and feared it had been stolen. When an
officer arrived, the woman reported she had located her vehicle.
