Wallet Left On Car Roof; Fireworks In the Streets; Hit-and-Run

MOUNT KISCO, NY — Here are some of the incidents to which Westchester County police responded recently in the village.

Friday, July 5 – 10:43 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Boltis Street on a report of an abandoned vehicle. Officers determined that the vehicle, which was parked legally, has been stationary for the last week because its owner is on vacation.
7:50 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to the 600 block of Lexington Avenue on an activated burglar alarm. It was determined that an employee arriving for work had set the alarm off in error.

Thursday, July 4 – 9:42 p.m. – A Beverly Road resident reported that fireworks were being set off in the street near her home. Officers responded but the persons responsible were gone on their arrival.
1:02 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Park Drive on a report that a woman was having a seizure. She was transported by the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Northern Westchester Hospital Center.

Wednesday, July 3 – 11:10 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to a parking lot on Carpenter Avenue on a report that youths were shooting off fireworks. No one was present when an officer arrived.
3:15 p.m. – Employees at Stop N Shop reported that a man left the store with a case of beer he had not paid for. They asked that the incident be documented in case they observed the man return to the store in the future.
12:37 p.m. – A resident reported that her vehicle was damaged, apparently by a hit-and-run driver, while it was parked outside Mrs. Green’s on Lexington Avenue.
9:20 a.m. – A resident reported that he lost his wallet containing $120 and credit cards when he left his wallet on the roof of his car and drove off from Dunkin’ Donuts on North Bedford Road. Officers advised him that the wallet had not been turned in to police and recommended he cancel his credit cards.
1:17 a.m. – A man who said he is homeless was arrested on an active Port Chester Police Department warrant after he was observed walking in the middle of the street in Kirby Plaza. An officer stopped to speak with the man and determined he was wanted for failing to appear in Port Chester court to answer a summons charging him with violating a local ordinance there. He was transported to Port Chester and turned over to village police.

Tuesday, July 2 – 9:54 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Boltis Street due to an activated medical alert bracelet. It was determined that there was no medical emergency.
4:35 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to the 500 block of Main Street on a report that a hydrant was leaning. The Mount Kisco Highway Department advised that it was also made aware of the problem and was making repairs.
