Bar CC Set To Open In Chelsea: See Inside

NEW YORK CITY — Bar CC, a new bar from chef Melissa Rodriguez and restaurateur Jeff Katz, will open this week in West Chelsea.

The concept, created with Beverage Director Harrison Ginsberg and Tao Group Hospitality, will occupy the former Mel’s space in the historic 85 Tenth building at 10th Avenue and 16th Street and is set to open on Sept. 25.

The 3,000-square-foot venue will feature cocktails by Ginsberg, a wine program of more than 1,000 bottles overseen by Wine Director Abe Zarate, and a concise menu from Rodriguez featuring caviar, live-fire preparations and small plates. Menu highlights include a Baby Burger, Chicken Medianoche, Trumpet Mushroom and Fancy Chips with Osetra caviar.

Bar CC will seat 64 guests across a 25-seat main bar, a private wine room and a back room. The design features walnut millwork, velvet walls, floor-to-ceiling drapery, brass detailing, Venetian sconces and a century-old mirror sourced in Paris.

Bar CC will be open from 6 p.m. to midnight Tuesday and Wednesday and from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.

Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for walk-ins only.
