"Bully Shield" - Free Anti- Bullying Event - Saturday October 15th - in Chelsea and 10 NYC locations

Free 90 Minute Anti Bully Event for Kids at 40 Tiger Schulmann's Martial Art Centers in the Northeast on Saturday October 15th

October is "Bully Prevention Month" and 40 Tiger Schulmann's Martial Arts Centers, including the Chelsea location at 6th Avenue and 22nd Street, are hosting free 90 minute Bully Prevention workshops for kids age 7-12 called "Bully Shield" on Saturday October 15th. These seminars are a public service for Bully Prevention month and help both the "bullied and the bully" through a non-violent approach to the various stages of bullying and what to do to stop bullying before it escalates. This long standing program is a non-aggression solution to the bullying issue which keeps resurfacing, often with frightening consequences. Discussion topics include:

- What is a bully?

- The three stages of bullying

- Role play on how to diffuse a bullying situation without getting physical

Tiger Schulmann's was established over 30 years ago on the premise of establishing a non-violent, help others approach to martial arts and life. They offer martial arts programs for both kids and parents. They have been doing "Bully Shield" as community service in their 46 locations as well as recreation centers, schools, churches and synagogues.
