Chelsea Nightclub Bouncer Punches Clubgoer, Investigation Ongoing: NYPD
The Marquee bouncer punched the patron in the face and stomach when he tried to go back into the club after being kicked out, police said.
CHELSEA, NY — A bouncer at the popular Chelsea nightclub Marquee punched a partygoer in the face and stomach when the man attempted to go back inside the club after he was kicked out on Christmas Eve, police told Patch.
At around 2 a.m. on Dec. 24, the 30-year-old man accidentally bumped into someone in the club at 289 10th Ave. and got into an argument, according to the NYPD. Marquee's bouncers soon intervened, and kicked out both the man and the person he was fighting with, police said.
The man then tried to reenter the club after he was told not to, police said — prompting one of Marquee's bouncers to punch the man in the face and the stomach, police said. The man then called 911, police told Patch.

- "The bouncers and security were so rude and shoved me in inappropriate places."
- "A guy wandered into VIP who didn't belong and one of the bouncers literally threw him onto the dance floor into a crowd of people."
- "As we were standing in line outside the main door after showing our IDs outside, one of the guards/bouncers shoved me really hard and when I asked why, he and another guard physically assaulted me and threw me out while saying that I had a beard and "such people should not be let in."
