Gourmet Hot Dog Restaurant to Open in Hell's Kitchen Next Month
Kings of Kobe is moving from a pop-up takeout window to their own restaurant in Hell's Kitchen.

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — The high-end hot dog eatery Kings of Kobe is moving from their pop-up takeout window on the side of a Chelsea pub to their very own restaurant in Hell's Kitchen, DNAinfo reports. King of Kobe is set to open at 790 Ninth Ave. next month.
King of Kobe started at a takeout window on the side of Pounds & Ounces NYC Pub in May of 2015. New Yorkers fell in love with their 100-percent Kobe beef dogs on brioche buns, topped with unique garnishes like onion marmalade, sauerkraut and house mango pickle relish.
The restaurant will serve their gourmet hot dogs, as well as burgers, milkshakes, and sides like mac-and-cheese balls, tater-tots and pretzels. The restaurant is also trying to score a liquor license.

“Hot dogs embody the essence of the American social experience; no matter the social status or political views, everyone enjoys a great hot dog. No other gastronomic experience is as symbolic of our social freedom as eating a hot dog on the Fourth of July,” said the restaurant’s owner Etai Cinader to The New York Exclusive. “Kings of Kobe was created to honor the hot dog as such a symbol by providing an enhanced culinary experience suitable for the on-the-go New York City lifestyle."
Menu items include a "BLTB" hot dog with bacon, lettuce tomato and balsamic mayo; the "Bolly" with house mango pickle relish and Indian spice mix; and the "Banh Mi" with pickled vegetables, Sriracha aioli and cilantro.
