Man in Business Suit Tries to Rob Hell's Kitchen Parking Garage Monday: NYPD
The man displayed a gun to the parking garage employee and demanded her to bring him to the garage's safe, police said.
HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — A man wearing a blue business suit pulled a gun on a Hell's Kitchen parking garage employee and attempted to rob the garage's safe on the night of Jan. 2, police said.
At about 8:33 p.m., the suited-man posed as a customer and approached the 46-year-old female employee inside MPC Manhattan Plaza Parking Lot at 401 West 42 St., police said.
The man displayed a handgun and demanded the employee to bring him to the safe, police told Patch.

The employee complied, but wasn't able to open the safe for the man, police said. The man then fled westbound on 42nd St. empty handed, police told Patch.
Police described the suspect as a black male, standing at 5-foot-10 with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a blue suit, a white shirt, a dark colored tie, black shoes, a multi-colored scarf, a gray knit hat and carrying a black backpack.
