The Best Way to Relax Before Heading to Bed

Reading works as a stress reliever.

“Your planet is so small that three strides will take you all the way around it. To be always in the sunshine, you need only walk along rather slowly. When you want to rest, you will walk, and the day will last as long as you like.”

The reason why I have started with this paragraph is that it combines two things: reading and sleeping. Reading before bedtime is considered as one of the best ways for a good sleep especially if you have worked during the whole day just like the lamplighter. Maybe the story of The Little Prince seems childish, but this is what parents do, they read stories to their children before bed. Reading as a practice before sleeping has results even with adults.

One of the things that successful people do before sleeping: “they schedule a meeting with a new or old book with paper pages.”

Reading is an entertaining and calming activity. It helps to eliminate excessive light, sounds and disturbing thoughts. Maybe people that work too much don’t have the time to read. They only want to sleep. But there are people who say: “I am too tired, but I can’t sleep.” It can happen to all the people. A large herd of sheep can be one of the solutions, but I don’t think anyone is so lucky to find one in the middle of the night on the other side of the street.

So leave the sheep in the pastures and find the answer for your problem in the bookshelf.
