Celebrate America's 250th birthday with a month of classic films at the Suffolk Y JCC! Join us each Wednesday in July for Movies Celebrating America at 250, a special movie series featuring beloved films that highlight American stories, culture, and history.
Each screening includes a beverage and movie snack, making it the perfect afternoon outing for film lovers. Whether you're revisiting a favorite classic or discovering one for the first time, this affordable series offers something for everyone.

Are you a rising sophomore, junior, or senior looking to make a difference in your community while building valuable leadership skills? The Suffolk Y JCC's Teen Leadership Training Program offers high school students the opportunity to work with a diverse group of socially conscious peers and create meaningful connections with older adults through engaging intergenerational programming.
Participants will gain hands-on leadership experience while helping to facilitate discussion groups, creative arts activities, technology assistance, and other enriching programs. This unique experience is a great way to develop communication and teamwork skills, build your resume, and earn more than 100 community service hours over the course of the summer.
The program runs Monday, July 27 through Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the Suffolk Y JCC in Commack.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but space is limited and early application is encouraged.

The performance will showcase internationally influenced vocalist Mor Schwartz, Cantor Steven Hevenstone of North Shore Synagogue, and Cantor Alexander Schinazi of Dix Hills Jewish Center. Before the show, guests can enjoy classic American favorites, including kosher hot dogs, corn on the cob, and more, available for purchase at the Chick Chak Café.
