Learn the fundamentals of American Mah Jongg in this beginner-friendly class at the Suffolk Y JCC. Led by Deborah Faust, participants will learn the basics of the game, including tiles, scoring, and game mechanics through guided play. No previous experience is necessary.

Classes meet on Tuesdays from 6:30–8:30 p.m., August 11–September 15, 2026, for six sessions. The program fee is $160, with a $120 discounted fee for Suffolk Y JCC members. Participants must purchase an official Mah Jongg card through the National Mah Jongg League or a local card retailer prior to class.
