Chick-fil-A Hiring For Two New Long Island Restaurants

Residents can apply to work at the new restaurants opening in Commack and Hicksville.

The popular fast food chain, Chick-fil-A, recently announced that they will be hiring local employees for the two new locations set to open on Long Island.

Long Island native Bryan Beasley was selected by the company to be the local franchise owner of its new Commack location, opening up on 660 Commack Road.

An opening date for the restaurant has not yet been announced, but a message on the store's Facebook page states that construction is almost complete.

The two restaurants are part of the company’s continued expansion in New York and are now hiring for full- and part-time team member positions.

Currently, there is only one Chick-fil-A on Long Island, located in Port Jefferson Station.

Beasley and his wife both have a long history on Long Island – his family owns a wholesale food distribution business in Westhampton Beach, and his wife’s family owns a car dealership in Quogue that has been open since 1946.

Beasley, who grew up in the food industry, always wanted to pursue his dream of owning his own restaurant and serving his community.

Before being named the operator of the Commack restaurant he built a career in serving wealth management clients.

“My wife and I are thrilled to continue our family legacy of local business ownership and community involvement as we move toward the grand opening of our Chick-fil-A restaurant,” he said. “This represents the perfect opportunity to marry my passion for restaurant hospitality with giving back to a large number of people in this community.”

Elko, a South Carolina native, started her career as a TV producer in Myrtle Beach.

She has worked for Chick-fil-A for nine years, first as a marketing director and then as a director of operations for two Charleston, South Carolina restaurants.

From the day Elko started with Chick-fil-A, she has aspired to own her own restaurant.

“I’ve envisioned owning a Chick-fil-A restaurant for many years now,” she said. “Moving to New York was also a big part of that dream, so I’m excited to become a member of the Hicksville community as a local franchise owner.”

All team members at both the Commack and Hicksville locations will be hired locally, and each restaurant will employ between 140 and 145 full- and part-time team members.

In addition, the restaurants will also offer the opportunity for college scholarships through a new national scholarship initiative, Remarkable Future.
