Cop Does ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Daily for Dad

Brian Poulos, a NY State Trooper from Commack is taking the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to new heights - He's doing it every day in August.

Brian Poulos, a NY State Trooper from Commack, is trying something unique to raise awareness for ALS research. He’s doing the “ALS Ice Bucket Challenge” (posting a video to social media dumping a bucket of ice water on your head), every single day all over Long Island in the month of August.

Brian’s dad, Nick, also of Commack, was diagnosed with ALS in 2014. The ALS community was bolstered by the Ice Bucket Challenge last summer, as millions of dollars were raised as the feel good stunt went viral on multiple social media platforms.

“Pa’s Pals” (Nick is lovingly referred to as ”Pa” by his 4 grandsons) is the team name for Brian’s group participating in the Long Island ”Walk to Defeat ALS” being held in Eisenhower Park on September 19.
