Latino artists take center stage in Arte Latino II at the Mills Pond House Gallery. Viewers will experience unique views of Latino artistic expression that reflect the diversity of the Latino community in the United States.
The exhibit includes twenty-seven artists who draw their inspiration from a broad range of themes, from immigration to politics, cultural assimilation and family values. The artists hail from California, Kansas, Ohio, Missouri, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Maine, New Jersey, New Mexico and New York. Nine Long Island artists are represented. The work presents a snapshot of the rich customs and traditions that their cultures (Colombia, Honduras, Peru, Puerto Rico, Panama, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Spain) have woven into their American lives.
Join us in our festival tent for three special evenings of exciting dance (performance, lecture/demonstration & dance classes) & live Latin music to dance the night away!

Arte Latino II strives to capture the passionate voices of a vibrant people whose culture is an extension of and a connector to the many countries, races and national heritages they bring to America. Weaving together very different experiences and traditions, Latino artists create threads of identity that link us to the heart and soul of Latino culture in America.
