Commack Junior Wins Greenway Trails Logo Contest
Adam Feldman's creation will be used by the Town of Huntington park.
Commack High School junior Adam Feldman has won the Town of Huntington Greenway Trails logo contest.
Feldman, an East Northport resident, used the image of a sneaker tread, colored it green to represent nature, and used symbols such as a bicyclist, horseshoe and handicap symbol in the tread.
For the past four years, the 17-year-old has taken a variety of computer design classes, some at the Huntington Art League.

"I drew it on the computer, using Adobe Illustrator; it's definitely something I'd like to major or minor in when I go to college," Feldman said.
Huntington Councilman Mark Cuthbertson said, "Adam's winning design exemplifies our Town's varied trails and the many ways we can use them. We have everything from hiking, walking and biking trails to handicapped accessible trails and horseback riding trails. Adam's vision incorporates these elements creating a positive impression of outdoor activity and respect for our natural environment."

Feldman's design will be used in park signage, printed pamphlets and trail markings.
He also received a plaque from the Commack Union Free School District and a proclamation from the Town of Huntington. But the Internet recognition might be his favorite reward.
"I'm on Google, it's really cool,"he said.
