"We come often because we live in the neighborhood," Maggie McGuigan said.  "The kids love it.  t's often this type of stuff, and last week it was a kids concert."

The park's setup also allows parents to sit back and enjoy a concert while their children play on the playground right behind them, McGuigan said.

"It's free and easy," said McGuigan. "They get to play and we get to watch all we want."

The concert drew in more than just neighborhood locals. Tommy Dutton, a firefighter from Nesconset, and his wife, Debbie, who has a past with the band.

"She used to follow the band," said Tommy, cold beer in hand. "Her ex was even in it."

The couple also got married in the park.

The next concert at Hoyt Farm is July 25 at 7 p.m. and features All Good Friends.
