COMMACK, NY - A fire broke out at a Commack building on Wednesday night.
The Commack Fire Department responded to reports of smoke in the building at 70 Austin Boulevard at about 5:55 p.m.
Suffolk County Police were the first to arrived and reported an active fire in the building. Additional firefighters then entered the building and found a heavy smoke condition.

Shortly after, fire was discovered in the stock room.
The department battled the blaze with assistance from the Hauppauge, Smithtown and Brentwood fire departments.

Firefighters gained access through the front door and stretched hand-lines to knock down the rest of the fire.
The fire was contained in about 30 minutes. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
