Police: Man Stole $530 Generator in Commack

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who stole a generator from a Commack auto repair shop last month.

According to police, on Oct. 10, the man pictured above man entered Pep Boys, located at 6350 Jericho Turnpike, and stole a Coleman 4500 watt generator worth approximately $530.

The suspect is described as white, in his mid to late 20s, approximately 6-feet tall, with a thin build. He had short blond hair, blue eyes and was wearing gray sweatpants and a white T-shirt, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
