Resident Seriously Injured in North Amityville Crash

Brandon Savoca, 27, of 7 Bette Lane, Commack was ejected from his 2002 Kawasaki motorcycle on the Route 100 in North Amityville at 6 p.m. on Tuesday following a collision with a 2010 Hyundai sedan driven by Madonna McDonnell, 69, police said. 

The sedan struck Savoca as McDonnell was attempting to merge into the left lane. He was also struck by a 2001 Toyota pickup truck driven by Jose Corrugedo, 39 of Hicksville. 

Savoca was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was treated for fractures to his right leg and pelvic area. 

Police report that all three vehicles were impounded and that the investigation is continuing.
