SUV Crashes into Cleaners on Jericho
Building declared structurally unsound by Town of Smithtown, no injuries reported.
A sport utility vehicle drove through the front of Beau Brummel Cleaners, on Jericho Turnpike on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
No one was injured, though the Town of Smithtown has declared the building structurally unsound.
"The glass covering half of the building was completely missing and it appeared that the SUV had hit and bent a beam that held up the building. A number of firemen were working to erect wooden boards that would serve as temporary support beams," Marisa Fedele said.

Fedele saw aftermath of the accident on Saturday, while in the Mayfair Shopping Center.
The owners of the store did not wish to comment on the story.

William White, at the Town of Smithtown building department, said the department will follow up with the cleaners in the next few days to determine the state of the building.
