WATCH: Teen Films Truck Driver Running Over Bicycles After Feud

In the midst of a growing feud between bicyclists and motorists, a video shows a confrontation between a driver and a group of bicyclists.

COMMACK, NY - The feud between bicyclists and motorists continue as one teen filmed a confrontation between a group of bicyclists and a truck driver last week.

Suffolk County Police responded to Commack Road, near the Northern State in Commack last Thursday at 5 p.m. after receiving at least 20 911 calls reporting a large group of bicyclists riding recklessly and becoming involved in confrontations with multiple motorists.

During the incident, police say a pickup truck struck two unoccupied bicycles that were lying in a southbound lane of travel.

The driver of the pickup called police immediately following the incident and told them he drove away from the scene because he feared for his safety.

None of the bicyclists have made a report that they were injured or property damaged. Second Precinct Crime Section officers are handling the case.

A cellphone video of the incident taken by 14-year-old Nick Anazlone shows the truck pulling away and running over the bikes as the teens kick the vehicle.

"Someone could have got killed," he told CBS2 News. "Some kids that ride with us, they’ll do all, like, stupid stuff and, like, just swerve cars and all of that, and then some of us just want to, like, ride and have fun with our pack and stuff."

According to News12, one teen claimed he sprained his wrist in the incident, but no other injuries were reported.

Tension between drivers and these teen bicyclists have been growing as more and more residents have been complaining of "reckless bicyclists."

In Babylon Village, a new law was recently passed that would allow officers to confiscate bikes from anyone seen riding recklessly.
