You Tell Us: Big Ideas for Making Commack Better

Locals are passionate about Commack, but what do they really want to see change?

Commack is a place filled with struggle. A tussle between the school district and locals over the historic Marion Carll Farm has put the future of this landmark in limbo. Community members already lamenting the lack of a real downtown are saddened that the area's business district is dotted with vacancies, including one eyed by Hess for a takeover. And a school district known for excellence is among many in the region trying to rein in bullying.

It's times like these that people get to thinking about the home they love so much, coming up with their own ideas, be them wild stretches of the imagination or practical fixes that are altogether doable, to keep Commack great into the foreseeable future.

So let's hear them.
