Health officials say donations are urgently needed for trauma, cancer, and other critical patients, and local events across nearby towns offer additional opportunities to give throughout July.

• Man charged with rape of 90-year-old Corning woman (mytwintiers.com) — Corning residents are learning more about a serious incident at Dayspring Apartments, where a 29-year-old man has been jailed on multiple felony charges after an alleged assault on a 90-year-old woman. The victim is hospitalized in stable condition, and Corning Police say they will release more information later as neighbors raise concerns about other reported break-ins.
