• Assemblywoman hopeful future Garnet partnership with Montefiore system will benefit Sullivan County (midhudsonnews.com) — Cornwall readers should know that St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, including its Cornwall campus, is already part of the Montefiore Health Care Network as Garnet Health prepares to join. A local assemblywoman from Sullivan County hopes the expanded Montefiore partnership will improve access to doctors and services across the region, including nearby Orange County facilities.
   

• Rye coach Dino Garr will be on the sideline when football kicks off (thetimesherald.com) — Cornwall High’s football team is set to open its season on September 4 against powerhouse Rye, whose legendary 78-year-old coach Dino Garr has decided to return for his 51st year on the sidelines. Garr, now the winningest coach in New York State history, says he’s staying on for the love of coaching and his players, setting up a marquee early-season matchup for Cornwall fans.
