• Tenth Kinus Hanhalos to Bring Together Yeshiva Leaders from Around the World (collive.com) — Crown Heights will host dozens of Lubavitch yeshiva leaders from around the world this Monday and Tuesday at Anshei Lubavitch for the Tenth Annual Kinus Hanhalos. The gathering offers parallel tracks for Mashpiim, Magidei Shiur, and Menahalim, focusing on practical and spiritual challenges in chinuch and sharing tools and programs that support thousands of bochurim globally.
• Professional basketball player Kinu Rochford killed at Harlem basketball tournament (postguam.com) — A professional basketball player who lived in Crown Heights, 35-year-old Kinu Rochford, was shot and killed during the opening night of a Harlem streetball tournament, with two bystanders also wounded. Police say the gunman, who fled, appeared to target Rochford amid an argument, and local officials are decrying the killing as another instance of senseless gun violence shaking New York communities.
