Abandoned former HSBC Banking Site East Northport impacted Storm
Maltese reports that HSBC has traffic regulating signage hanging lifelessly on their premises
Maryann Maltese, Democratic Candidate for NYS Assembly 12th AD-noticed after Tropical Storm Isaias finished his raft-the former HSBC site at 310 Larkfield Road was hit with former drive thru clearance signage dangling from it's property. See the photo above.
Adjacent to the former HSBC location is a heavily utilized 24-Hour Laundromat and many neighbors walk to and from the site and this hanging signage poses a threat. The signage is not secure and with heavy rains still forecasted this weekend-the sign can take flight and hurt someone, said Maryann Maltese.
The Laundromat is a place where moms and dads bring their kids too. HSBC has relocated their services to Commack-and subsequently-they're out of power as well-offices closed. I was unable to reach them-but any one who is an HSBC customer-I recommend reaching out since East Northport account holders may now being conducting their business at Commack HSBC.

In response, I contacted the Township of Huntington; to advise Huntington Township's office of Buildings and Permits to see if they have authority to inspect the property and follow up, said Maryann Maltese.
I recommend that neighbors of East Northport take a few photos of their property damages and file their own personal complaints to see if we're entitled to claims or if you're feeling civic-and notice Public or Vacated Properties impacted by the Storm to notify Township of Huntington immediately and/or you can send me the photos I'm happy to assist tracking down who might be accountable to respond, said Maryann Maltese.
