Press release from Deer Park School District:

Nov. 19, 2020

In honor of Veterans Day, second graders at Deer Park’s May Moore Primary School studied and analyzed the music of the U.S. Air Force with teacher Kristen Lombardo. A friend of Lombardo’s family has been deployed, so she decided to turn the activity into a writing and art project as well. The students turned their Air Force listening glyphs into cards, thanking members of the Air Force for their service. The cards were then sent overseas to bring some good cheer to American service members.
