Anthony Covelli, Jr. Achieves Eagle Scout

North Babylon's Boy Scout Troop 399 announces our 48th Eagle Scout!

Anthony Covelli, Jr. of North Babylon’s Troop 399 has become the Troop’s 48th Eagle Scout!  Anthony earned more than the 21 merit badges required to receive the Eagle Scout award.  For his final project he constructed a paver walkway leading to the newly renovated restrooms at North Babylon High School.  This walkway gives sporting spectators access to restrooms from the outside of the building.

An Eagle Scout Court of Honor Ceremony honoring Anthony took place on Sunday, April 19th in the auditorium of the North Babylon High School.  Family, friends and local dignitaries were on hand to witness and celebrate this distinguished achievement.

During his speech Anthony was quoted as saying ”I would like to thank all of my fellow scouts, dedicated adult leaders, and everyone else who has helped me on my journey to Eagle Scout.  Thank you to all of the local businesses who donated to my project.  Now that I have completed this epic event in my life, in the future I can not only say I was a Boy Scout but that I am an Eagle Scout”.
