FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition News Release June 19, 2015 Contact: Tess Helfman, President BBCCest1993@aol.com (631) 893-4110 Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition (Beneficiary) of Tanger Outlet Center in Deer Park, NY Seventh Annual Fit For Families Timed 5K (3.1mile) Run/Walk on Sunday, October 4, 2015 On Sunday, October 4, Tanger will host the 7th annual 5K Run/Walk beginning at 8:30 am. Join your friends, neighbors and coworkers as we all Get Moving Together for a great cause. Proceeds from each $20 entry fee/$25 day of race (or $15 for those 12 years old or younger) will benefit the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition. Join us the night before for a $10 spaghetti dinner (open to all, location TBD). On day of the race, all 5K runners and walkers will be treated a complimentary cookout immediately following the race served during the prize give-away and award presentations. Race Participants will receive a special 5k race pack which includes a Tanger 5k Run/Walk t-shirt (for the first 850 participants who check in on the day of the race). All finishers will also receive a com-memorative 2015 race medal. Register now at: www.tangeroutlet.com/race Online registration ends on Thursday, October 1 at midnight. Registration on the day of the race begins at 6:30am and ends promptly at 8:00am. This is a timed, 5K (3.1mile) event. USA Track & Field Certified Course. Timing provided by Island - Timing. This year the community can help in several ways, join as a 2015 Tanger Fit For Families 5K Sponsor, be a raffle donor, and/or join as a participant. The deadline for sponsorships is July 10, 2015. (Logo artwork must be received by that date in order to meet our print production schedules). Sponsorship packets and signup form that outlines opportunities for your business to be included are available by contacting Tanger management office (631) 667-0600 or the BBCC office (631) 893-4110. Schools, businesses, group organizations, families, and all participants are invited to form fundraising teams of 10 or more to receive a discounted entry rate of $15pp. New this year: Individuals and teams have the opportunity to fundraise with pledge forms. So ask your coworkers, friends and family to support you because it is the best way to help a neighbor. The funds you raise will directly go to providing services for the BBCC's Lend A Helping Hand Program. (pays for medical transportation, co pay assistance, hot cooked meals and so much more).
