On Sept. 9, the Wyandanch School District Board of Education recognized Teachers Federal Credit Union for their generous donation of 250 backpacks, face masks and school supplies including notebooks, pencils, crayons, markers and more.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Gina Talbert expressed her gratitude to the financial institution and thanked them not only for their time in gathering the donations, but also for their support of the school district during such a challenging time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“On behalf of the Board of Education and the Wyandanch School District, we are so thankful to accept the wonderful donation from Teachers Federal Credit Union,” said Dr. Talbert. “The items donated are the tools our students need to be successful and safe this school year.”
