Celebrating Diversity At North Babylon High School

North Babylon High School recently welcomed guest speakers from different faiths to speak to students to promote love and acceptance for all.

Over the course of two days, four different speakers representing the Islamic, Hindu, Christian and Jewish faiths, explained major beliefs and practices, discussed prejudices and common misconceptions, as well as shared contributions their faiths have had on the world and local communities.

In keeping with the goal of celebrating diversity, students then reflected on their increased knowledge of the different religions and found similarities that connect rather than separate them.
