Long Island Craft Beer Week kicks off Friday, but at Superstar's Beer City in North Babylon, craft beer is in the spotlight all month long.
It's the third annual Craft Beer Month at Superstar Beverage, which has eight locations across Long Island, and that means plenty of promotions, events and raffle prizes.
Craft beer makes up 15-20 percent of the sales at Beer City, according to Superstar owner Neil Mennella. While still a fraction of overall sales, craft beer sales at the store have doubled in the last few years.
"A lot of people are growing into it," Mennella said.
