Deer Park Man Charged In Crash That Killed 13-Year-Old Boy: Cops
The 28-year-old was previously arrested in 2011 for driving while on drugs, according to a former police report.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, NY — An oil truck driver from Deer Park was arrested after hitting and killing a 13-year-old boy on Lewis Avenue in Bed-Stuy Friday evening, according to the NYPD.
Police responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of Lewis Avenue and Jefferson Avenue around 5:50 p.m.
The teen, identified as Kevin Flores, of Ridgewood was found at the scene with severe trauma to the head. He was transported to Interfaith Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2000 Mack oil truck, driven by 28-year-old Philip Monfoletto was traveling northbound on Lewis Avenue.
The truck hit the boy as it made a right on Jefferson Avenue, police said.

Monfoletto remained at the scene and was taken into custody. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
He was also previously arrested in 2011 in Southampton and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, according to a previous Patch article.
