Deer Park Man Charged In String Of Nassau Burglaries: Cops
The 58-year-old was arrested after he was caught trying to break into another Nassau business with a piece of concrete, police say.

PLAINVIEW, NY - A Deer Park man was arrested on Thursday for a string of robberies in Nassau after he was caught trying to break into a Plainview restaurant, police said.
According to Nassau Police, Francis J. Wohnsigl, 58, was seen by detectives throwing a piece of concrete at the front glass door attempting to gain entry into Star Kitchen on 611 Old Country Road at 1:45 a.m.
After a failed attempt, Wohnsigl was then seen walking back to a 2002 Buick parked on the corner of Patton Place and Sherman Avenue, police said.

After a brief struggle, the detectives then arrested him. He was transported to a local hospital and treated for injuries, police said.

He is being charged with eight counts of third degree burglary, two counts third degree attempted burglary, and resisting arrest, police said.
He will be arraigned when medically practical.
