The 15-year-old went missing in September. Family believed she was being held against her will.

2. Tuberculosis Case Confirmed at Copiague Middle School

Officials did not specify if a student or staff member contracted the disease but said the individual was a "part of the school community."

3. 21-Year-Old Man Dies After Crash Into Tree

The man hospitalized with serious injures after the crash and later died from his injuries in July.

4. N. Babylon Pizzeria Damaged After Fight Between Teens Breaks Out

Police responded to the business located across from an elementary school, after an altercation broke out in February.

5. Police ID Man Found Dead on Side of Long Island Road

The Brooklyn man was shot in the head and left on the side of the road in May.

6. Pickup Truck Driver Sought In Fatal LI Hit-And-Run

he 51-year-old Long Island man was struck and killed by a pickup truck in October. Suffolk Police say the truck driver fled the scene.

7. 2 More King Kullen Stores To Shut Down By September

In January, Stop & Shop announced its plan to acquire all of the King Kullen's 32 stores in addition to five Wild by Nature stores and the Long Island-based company's corporate office in Bethpage.

8. LI Man Charged With Raping 2 Teens: SCPD

An investigation revealed that the 19-year-old had sex with a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old in February, police said.

9. Deer Park Students Defend Senior Who Was Suspended

A group of students say they got into a disagreement with school officials who suspended a senior for posting a photo on her Instagram.

Officers found the man with a gunshot wound to the head after responding to a 911 call for a crash, police said.
