Deer Park Sends Four to All-County Chorus
High schoolers will perform at the NYSCAME/SCMEA All-County Concert.

Four superb singers from Deer Park High School – Katherine Keller, Mauricio Montes, Jessica Orelus and Alec Winters – were recently selected by the Suffolk County Chapter of the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education for the 2014 All-County Mixed Chorus.
The foursome will perform at the NYSCAME/SCMEA All-County Concert on Nov. 21 at Half Hollow Hills High School East in Dix Hills.
This honor was the result of their strong sense of dedication to their musical studies as well as reflecting their high-scoring performances at last spring’s NYSSMA solo festival.

“I am really looking forward to performing with a group of musicians who are as dedicated to singing choral music as we are,” said Keller. “We are all very excited to perform such beautiful but difficult music,” added Montes.
