Deer Park Woman Tops 110 MPH While Driving Drunk on LIE: Police

The 18-year-old was arrested Wednesday morning.

An 18-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday morning after police say she drove drunk on the Long Island Expressway at a speed of 110 miles per hour.

According to authorities, officers observed Katie A. Hodgson, of Deer Park, traveling at a high rate a speed in a 2016 Honda Accord from Exit 48 in Plainview to Exit 44 in Syosset at 1:05 a.m.

Police say she was making several unsafe lane changes without signaling. Officers conducted a vehicle stop, determined Hodgson was intoxicated and placed her under arrest, police say.

She was also found to be in possession of two Pennsylvania driver's licenses in her name, police say.

Hodgson was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree possession of a forged instrument, reckless driving, DWI, aggravated DWI and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.

She will be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
