Four North Babylon Students Selected for NYSSMA All-State
Students will head to Rochester in December.

Four talented musicians from North Babylon High School have been chosen to represent the North Babylon School District at the New York State School Music Association’s (NYSSMA) All-State Festival from Dec. 4-7 in Rochester.
Junior Nicole Gonzalez (Vocal Jazz), and seniors Alyssa Loftus (Mixed Chorus), Kelly Sisson (Mixed Chorus) and Jonathan Link (Symphonic Band) were selected All-State based on teacher recommendations, literature selections and their scores in the local NYSSMA festivals. The students were honored with certificates of recognition from North Babylon Superintendent of Schools Patricia Godek at the September Board of Education meeting.
“I cannot begin to express how proud I am that our students have been chosen to perform at the esteemed Eastman School of Music,” Art and Music Director Dr. Kim Lowenborg-Coyne said. “Their selections are a testament to all of their hard work and dedication, and also to the commitment of our music teachers to guide them to this level of achievement.”
