Fourth Gas Station in 2 Weeks Robbed in Deer Park-North Babylon

Latest robbery occurred Thursday night, police say.

A man armed with a knife robbed a Deer Park gas station on Thursday night, the fourth gas station robbery in Deer Park and North Babylon over the past two weeks.

In the latest robbery, police say a man entered the Sunoco gas station, located at 1985 Deer Park Road, displayed a knife and demanded cash from the drawer at about 7:20 p.m.

The clerk gave him cash and the robber then demanded the clerk’s cell phone and wallet, police said.

The clerk handled the man those items as well. The clerk’s wallet contained cash and credit cards, police said.

Police did not release a description of the suspect, but less than a half hour later, a man with a knife also robbed a Farmingdale Dunkin’ Donuts.

No arrests have been made.
