Music teachers Louis Nicolosi and Gregg Romano of Deer Park’s John F. Kennedy Intermediate School recently synched up virtual practice performances on audio and video by several students of pieces originally intended for the school’s spring concerts.

For Naoya Wada’s “Fanfare and Festive Hymn,” the performers were Joshua Beylin and (audio only) Melissa Cannet on clarinet, and Lucas Castro and Stephanie Ramlakan on trumpet. “Gettysburg Address,” consisting of the famous speech by Abraham Lincoln and music by Brian Balmages, featured three fifth graders: Aubrey Hyney and Joseph Reina on trombone, and Talon Silverstein on drums.
