During Career Week, students at Deer Park’s John F. Kennedy Intermediate School learned about different professions. Virtual guest speakers – including a dentist, an orthodontist and several nurses, doctors, carpenters, DJs, fitness instructors and computer programmers – talked to the students about what it takes to be successful at a particular job. As the culminating activity at the end of the week, students dressed up as their future professions, with potential astronauts, hairdressers, interior designers, police officers, professional athletes, social workers and teachers walking the halls.
