John Quincy Adams Students Show Creativity with Gingerbread Houses

First grade and prekindergarten students at Deer Park’s John Quincy Adams Primary School had the chance to show off their creativity and holiday spirit during gradewide gingerbread house-making projects inside the school’s cafeteria and classrooms. 

Parents and grandparents were invited to come and help decorate the youngsters’ gingerbread houses, each of which started out simply with milk cartons, frosting, graham crackers and lots of colorful candy, and ended up as a delightful seasonal work of art.
