Suffolk County Legislator Tom Donnelly recently honored the first graders of Christine Garcett’s class at Deer Park’s May Moore Primary School. As part of a kindness lesson, the students had made handwritten letters and Valentine’s Day cards for senior citizens at the Regal Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Queens. Donnelly noticed their efforts, and decided to give each student in the class a certificate recognizing their kindness, which he presented via Zoom on Feb. 26.
